Comparisons and stage deep dives

What is the Amplify stage in Loop Marketing, and where should we publish first?

Amplify is the distribution stage of Loop Marketing. Validated content gets published across the channels where buyers actually spend time, including Reddit, YouTube, podcasts, and artificial intelligence (AI) search engines. Most teams start with their own website plus one or two priority channels, then remix content outward from there.

The website comes first. It works as the front door of marketing and, when built well, as the most effective salesperson a company has. Every off-site channel, from social content to AI recommendations, brings potential buyers to that door. Each exit point on the site becomes a conversion point, such as a form or a demo request. A high-performing website is a prerequisite for high-performing Loop Marketing, which is why publishing starts there.

After the website, going deep on one or two channels and remixing outward works better than thin coverage of five. Concentrating on one or two priority channels lets a small team run them at scale and at high velocity. Once content performs on the primary channel, AI systems remix it into other formats such as social posts, email sequences, and short video. That remix work once required a dedicated hire per channel. With properly configured AI systems, it takes a few hours of one marketer's time per week. Lean Labs, a HubSpot partner agency, documents this website-first sequencing in its guide to the Loop Marketing framework.

What's the difference between Loop Marketing and closed-loop marketing?

Loop Marketing and closed-loop marketing are different concepts. Closed-loop marketing is an analytics practice that connects sales outcomes back to the marketing source that produced each lead. Loop Marketing is HubSpot's four-stage growth framework (Express, Tailor, Amplify, Evolve) introduced in 2025 for the artificial intelligence (AI) era, so one measures attribution while the other runs the entire marketing cycle.

Closed-loop marketing predates Loop Marketing by more than a decade and solves an attribution problem. Lead source data sits in analytics tools while deal outcomes sit in the customer relationship management (CRM) system. Closing the loop connects the two, so teams see which channels produce revenue, not just leads. Loop Marketing, introduced at HubSpot's INBOUND conference in September 2025, is much broader. It covers brand expression, personalization, multi-channel distribution, and optimization as one repeating cycle.

The two concepts meet at the Evolve stage. Evolve reviews performance data and buyer responses each cycle, which is essentially closed-loop marketing with AI processing the feedback faster. Lean Labs' guide to closed-loop marketing notes that teams already running closed-loop reporting have the data foundation the Evolve stage needs. A closed-loop setup measures what happened, and Loop Marketing uses that measurement to shape the next round of content and campaigns.
