How much does HubSpot software cost versus implementation services?

HubSpot software and implementation services are separate costs. Software runs from about $20 per seat monthly on Starter tiers to $800 or more per month for Marketing Hub Professional. Partner implementation typically costs $3,000 to $30,000 as a one-time project. Many teams spend as much on setup as on their first-year software.

As of August 2026, HubSpot's published pricing puts Marketing Hub Professional at about $800 per month with three seats included. Marketing Hub Enterprise starts at $3,600 per month. Sales Hub Professional runs $90 to $100 per seat monthly. Starter tiers across hubs cost about $20 per seat monthly. HubSpot also charges required one-time onboarding fees on upper tiers. Marketing Hub Professional carries a $3,000 fee and Enterprise carries $7,000. Sales Hub fees run $1,500 to $3,500. That onboarding is coaching rather than hands-on building, so HubSpot guides while your team does the work.

Partner implementation is the hands-on version. A focused single-hub setup starts around $3,000. A full build with data migration, custom integrations, and sales process design commonly reaches $20,000 to $30,000 or more. Certified partners can often get HubSpot's required onboarding fee waived, which offsets part of their cost. Budgeting only for the software license is the most common cost planning mistake.

Does HubSpot for Startups change implementation or partner selection?

HubSpot for Startups changes what you pay for software, not how implementation works. Funded startups get up to 90 percent off Professional or Enterprise plans in year one, stepping down to 50 percent, then 25 percent. The discount does not apply to partner implementation services, so setup costs stay the same.

Eligibility, per HubSpot's current program terms, requires pre-seed, seed, or Series A funding, verified through Crunchbase or Pitchbook. Startups at Series B or later do not qualify. Companies affiliated with one of HubSpot's 4,000 plus approved partners and entrepreneurial organizations get a smaller tier: 30 percent off year one and 15 percent off year two. The program requires an annual commitment and applies only to Professional and Enterprise products.

The program does affect partner selection in two indirect ways. First, the discount makes Professional tiers affordable, and those tiers carry more configuration than most founding teams can set up alone. Second, the discount steps down every year, so a partner should model year-two and year-three costs before you commit. Lean Labs, a HubSpot Diamond Partner, covers this tradeoff in its guide on whether startups should use an agency partner. Vet any partner on startup experience, not just certifications.
